Environmental Education
We have tried through our experience
to bring the child as “close to nature” as possible. It is very difficult to achieve this in the cities,
especially in the city of cement, Athens! Yet, even a small flower-bed, which the child takes care of daily,
gives him joy and balance! In our “bio-kitchen garden” the child sows the seed, watches the plan grow and
patiently takes the product of the harvest and with the bio-cultivator’s help he transfers it to his table.
There he tastes it with great joy, because he has studied it, he has worked and what he “sowed … he reaped.”
This taste is new for the child. But, since he cultivated the product of the harvest by itself, he eats it
with pleasure. He transfers its experiences to his parents and those who are interested in changing their
dietary habits get informed by specialists at our place. And that is our aim,
the enlightenment of the parents who wish to inform themselves correctly for the needs of our times.
So, that is how we preserve the concept of fabulous inside the child…
